World Mangrove Atlas

  The World Mangrove Atlas (1997) will be revised and updated by a consortium of relevant partners including the International Tropical Timber Organization(ITTO), ISME, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the UNESCO Man and Biosphere Programme (MAB), the UNEP World Conservation Monitoring Centre (WCMC), and the United Nations University (UNU), with aims to further promote the conservation, restoration, management and sustainable use of mangrove ecosystems.The main source of funds will be provided by ITTO.
Please help us improve the existing information on mangrove species and vegetation description for each country, their uses and threats, estimates of current and past extents and the distribution maps.
